Salada Market
the winter market that Montrealers have been waiting for
Following the success of summer street food festival Les premiers Vendredis, the Association des restaurateurs de rue du Québec and Streat Productions present the winter market that Montrealers have been waiting for.
The Salada Market is an ephemeral event hall open March to the end of April. It is a place where street food, artisan stands, artists and food producers mix with a wide range of music and animation for everyone’s leisure.
The Event
Inspired by European gourmet halls such as the Marheine Markthalle in Berlin, the Hawker House and the Dinerama in London and artisan markets from New York (Smorgasburg and Chelsea Market), the Salada market reflects a Montreal version of these popular markets. There are over 12 food trucks, 7 Quebec food kiosks, and multiple tables and spaces dedicated to local artisans. Beer and wine counters tie the event together and enhance the atmosphere, making winter more enjoyable.
