Work in Progress

Excavation work is in progress and will continue until spring 2020. This work is needed to dispose of surplus soils. Potentially contaminated soils will be moved in accordance with to the contaminated soils traceability system (Traces Québec).

Contractor: Roxboro Excavation inc.

Upcoming Work: The Months Ahead

Carbonleo wishes to inform citizens of the following upcoming work:

  • A concrete mixing plant will be installed on its property located along the Côte-de-Liesse Road. Since concrete trucks come from Béton Provincial’s plant located in Ville-St-Laurent, the on-site plant will confine truck traffic to a much shorter route, thus limiting their impact. The plant is scheduled to be operational in early February 2020.
  • A new route for concrete trucks will be implemented to facilitate onsite traffic. The concrete trucks will circulate on Royalmount, Devonshire and a small part of the Highway 40 lane.

Work Hours

Under an agreement with the Town of Mount Royal, most of the work is normally performed Monday to Friday as follows:

  • Night shift: 7 pm to 5 am
  • Day shift: 6 am to 4:30 pm

Some work can also be carried out Saturdays from 6 am to 5 pm. Exceptionally, work may continue until 11 pm for specific operations requiring continuous, uninterrupted work, notably for security reasons.
